| Surface preparation |
 |
| |
Walls must be prepared to be paint ready.
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease or other materials that may affect bonding.
Previously painted surfaces must be scraped to remove all loose paint. Interior drywall must be taped, floated and sanded using normal interior drywall finishing procedures. Manually mix CRACELURE until homogeneous. Do not use high-speed mixers.

| Application |
 |
| |
Apply CRACELURE uniformly with a 70 mm notched stainless steel trowel in a consistent thickness of 20-30 mm over a smooth surface.
Use short strokes in different directions to avoid the formation of continuous notched trowel marks. The notched trowel acts as a thickness
gauge. Gently flatten the notch ridges, taking care not to disturb the even thickness of application.
Blow air with the box fans over the entire surface to accelerate surface drying of the wet material. Cracking usually begins 15 to 30
minutes after application. Ideal application conditions are 22°C and 50% RH. Let the product dry for 24 hours. Apply CASTELLO glaze for additional antiqued effect. CRACELURE will not form cracks effectively in temperatures outside the range of 15°C to 25°F and/or relative humidity above 75%.
CRACELURE forms an irregular cracked texture, the type and size of the crack will depend on the specifics of each job, temperature, humidity, and thickness of application. |
